The first map you play is really important for your rfw experience. True beginner maps have been long overdue and this is a great opportunity to contribute to a new player's experience! Channel your inner newbie and create an original race for wool map suited to introduce new players to the genre. The winner of this contest will receive a $20 amazon gift card!!
Rules and Guidelines
- All submissions must be made in the indicated time frame above and must be started from scratch.
- The maximum amount of mapmakers that can team up to work on a map (for this contest) is: 2
- Once the contest is active, and you have finished your submission, add your map to the map portal and click the 'make a submission' button on this page, that appears when the contest begins.
- Once the time frame has past, the submissions will be open for voting and DJ will organize playtests of the submitted maps. These votes will be taken into account, in determination of the winner.
- Mapmakers can solicit feedback from others/ but may not play test their maps while the contest is active.
- A panel of players who have not submitted a map, including DJ with judge the map based on the criteria below.
- You may ask help from other to get your map configured with AutoReferee.
- The final version of the map on the map portal, when the contest ends, will be used.

Creativity, Aesthetics, Balance, and fulfillment of the theme will be the main criteria from which the maps are judged.
